The champ left a legacy.
More than just the greatest boxer of all time, Muhammad Ali was a cultural icon and humanitarian. Ali took to the ring seven times in Las Vegas, including his second-to-last fight at Caesars Palace on October 2, 1980—losing to Larry Holmes. Said Bob Arum, who promoted 27 Ali fights, “Muhammad Ali transformed this country and impacted the world with his spirit. His legacy will be part of our history for all time.”
