Fresh off his latest album, My Songs (a contemporary take on his most celebrated hits), and a European tour, Sting arrives in Las Vegas with a new residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
“I am a little frightened and a little excited at the same time,” Sting told the Associated Press ahead of his opening show May 22. “I always thought, ‘I’m not quite ready for that. I’m still a touring animal.’ (Now) I’m ready.”
Spanning his career with The Police and as a solo artist, his “Sting: My Songs” show will include visual effects paying homage to his most iconic music videos for songs such as: “Every Breath You Take,” “Roxanne,” “Fields of Gold,” “Desert Rose” and “Brand New Day.”
“I’ll be telling the story of my life through my songs. I’ve had a long, interesting life. I can’t wait,” he explained. “Visually, sound-wise, dancing—it’s going to be a Vegas show. I’m really committed to that.”
