They say love does funny things, and that couldn’t be more true for Bobby Flay. The hugely celebrated chef has fallen in love with Italy and the Mediterranean diet, and his passion is coming to the plate with an entirely new restaurant concept.
This spring inside Caesars Palace, Flay brings the famous Amalfi Coast to the Las Vegas Strip. The aptly titled Amalfi by Bobby Flay, his first-ever Italian restaurant, is specifically tailored toward fresh fish, roasted vegetables, perfectly made pastas, bright citrus and herbaceous flavors.
“Mesa Grill was my passion 30 years ago when I was in my 20s,” he said, referring to his pivotal Caesars Palace restaurant, which entertained guests for 16 years. Now Italy has literally stolen my heart and my soul, and so the fact that I’m able to open my first Italian restaurant at Caesars Palace, it’s a huge honor for me. It’s the kind of food I wake up thinking about.
