Eat Well, Feel Better

Giada De Laurentiis shares her tips for a healthy lifestyle.

“I eat a little bit of everything and not a lot of anything.”

That’s the mantra Giada De Laurentiis lives by. Focusing her diet on healthy options and smaller portions, De Laurentiis is able to balance what she eats to feel better, inside and out. It’s a message the celebrity chef preaches in her latest cookbook, Eat Better, Feel Better—a wellness bible of more than 100 health-conscious recipes, along with advice, meal planning and instructions on a three-day cleansing reboot.

“This book is the culmination of a ten-year journey,” she writes. “I’ve made a conscious effort to take control of my health because it had finally become impossible to ignore the fact that the choices (or lack thereof) I’d been making for the past twenty years just weren’t working for me anymore.”

In the book, De Laurentiis walks readers through how to select food that will help you feel better, discusses personal wellness and talks about intermittent fasting, meditation and other self-care routines to optimize well-being.

On the recipe side, Eat Better, Feel Better covers meals throughout the day. From breakfast (smoothies, quinoa pancakes and an asparagus scramble) through dinner (fusilli with chicken and broccoli rabe, roasted trout with hazelnut gremolata or lentil-stuffed squash) and dessert, De Laurentiis highlights fresh, nutrient-rich ingredients—all crafted to make you feel your best.

“Most of us will live to a ripe old age these days; the question is, what quality of life will you enjoy along the way? Wherever you are on this journey, you face a crossroads every time you put dinner on the table,” she writes. “I’m not gonna lie; it’s not easy to change the way you think about food, but I’m better for it every day. And you will be too.”
